Julia Dakin is the Co-Founder of Going to Seed and a leader in the Local Seed Coalition, working to strengthen regional seed systems and advance locally adapted agriculture. Her work focuses on supporting farmer-led plant breeding, improving access to diverse seed varieties, and promoting resilient agricultural practices rooted in biodiversity.

Julia advances collaborative initiatives through coalition building, grant development, and public education, helping farmers and communities increase the visibility, accessibility, and economic viability of locally adapted seeds while supporting regenerative and resilient food systems.
