Dr. Ana Hummes is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Ames, Iowa. Her work explores how annual ryegrass helps break down subsoil fragipans, improving soil structure and supporting healthier plant growth.

Ana’s research also examines the use of humic products as biostimulants to enhance soil health, boost plant resistance to stress, and increase crop productivity. Through her studies, she contributes to advancing sustainable soil management and regenerative agricultural practices across diverse cropping systems.
